Majid Mufti currently leads Saudi Aramco’s Corporate Venture Capital Program through its wholly owned subsidiary Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures (SAEV), which he initially established in 2012.
Prior to his recent appointment, Mr. Mufti lead Saudi Aramco’s Upstream Transactions group, overseeing investments and joint venture developments with mid to large-cap multinationals in the oil field services sector.
Between 2005 and 2010 he was based in Hong Kong in the role of a Joint Venture Manager overseeing Saudi Aramco’s JV investments in China and the Philippines.
Part of his career started off as a finished products trader and as a Process Engineer in SASREF (Saudi Aramco/Shell Refinery), before spending time with Saudi Aramco’s Strategic Planning group developing strategies and running scenario planning 25-years out.
Majid holds a Chemical Engineering Degree from Northeastern University and a Master Degree in Global Finance from NYU Stern and HKUST.
